Even though Denali and I are vegetarians, we still want to wish everyone a Happy and safe Turkey Day. To help get D into the festive holiday spirit, I talked my fabulous neighbor, aka Bentley and Remi’s mum, along with her kids, into making a turkey hat for Denali to model. They did a wonderful job and D could care less about the hat, the only thing he wanted was the treat in my hand. Have a great holiday weekend everyone!!

Don’t forget, if you want to purchase his holiday cards or some from his daily collection, they are available on his website. Have a fabulous week everyone!

Good Morning, Denali style!! It was a long week and Sunday morning I had hopes to sleep in. While I was sleeping in my bed I had this very odd feeling that someone was standing over me, staring at me. When I opened my eyes, much to my surprise, I found on my bed Denali staring at me nose to nose. “Can I help you Denali?” I said. He responded with a very large lick that started at my chin and went up past my eyebrows. “Thank you,” I responded as I wiped the slobber off my face. Momma loves you Denali. Have a great week everyone!!

A simple task, as putting on one’s socks can be quite challenging at times. Denali has always had a thing for socks, he does not care if they are clean or dirty, he just likes to play with them. I have noticed numerous times a variety of my dad’s socks scattered through their house and sometimes I even find them in the corners. My father also gives me weekly lectures on this topic and it usually starts out with, “He’s taking my socks.” So, yesterday I was sitting on my couch putting on my socks and apparently D wanted to play tug-a-war with them. To his surprise, I put my sock on his nose and then he laid his head in my lap and looked up at me. I think if D could speak he would have said “Mommy.” I love you Denali! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Denali is a very considerate dog who always offers his assistance whenever I am doing something. Wednesday morning, D followed me outside as I started to rake the leaves. Before I knew it, the pile of leaves I raked was slowly being reorganized into numerous untamed piles in my front yard. “Denali, you’re so thoughtful”, I told him as I walked inside my house to grab my camera. It’s amazing how much fun a dog can have with leaves. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Denali and I want to wish a Happy Pumpkin Day to all. Speaking of pumpkins, Denali, my fabulous son/doggie, is modeling his costume…better known as THE GREAT PUMPKIN. On a side note, I want to thank my friends’ two little ladies for loaning me their costume. Have fun tonight everyone and watch out for the children!

The few times ’someone’ (I think everyone knows who) is left alone, this special ’someone’ patiently waits at the front window for me. For example, this is where D stands when I leave for an afternoon run and this is where he is when I return from my run. I truly appreciate D being very thoughtful waiting for me at the window, but it’s so not necessary. I have given it much thought and I would love to take Denali on a run, but knowing him, we’d stop every 2 minutes to sniff or he might run after a squirrel or even better, he would leave a deposit that I would have to pick up and run with. So instead, Denali stays on duty at my front window looking for me. I just love him!!

A few times a week Denali and I visit Norm. Well, I prefer to call him Normie. He’s an older rescue basset hound who misses his father during the day, so we stop over and spend a little time with him. Normie and D get along pretty well, and it’s rather amusing to me that whenever Norm decides to let out his famous howl, Denali always feels it’s his duty to chip in and start barking. Yesterday afternoon in the midst of all the rain, I was sitting on one end of Normie’s father’s really long couch eating my lunch and I looked over and noticed the two boys relaxing. So CUTE!! Have a great weekend everyone!
