SNOW ANGEL

We’ve had very little snow this past winter in Ohio and Denali just LOVES the snow. To our surprise, on Monday morning when I opened the door, I noticed a fresh layer of snow on the ground. Being a thoughtful mum, Denali (note he was not too happy with me) and I played 4 rounds of “give Momma your paw.” After successfully winning the game, D was prancing around my kitchen in his cute purple snow boots before he leaped out the door. A few minutes after he was outside, I stood in the doorway laughing, watching him master his ’snow angels’. Denali you’re so cute! Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Dogs & Ice Cream

Denali and I were overjoyed to find out that our favorite ice cream shop, Mr Freeze in Perrysburg, has opened for the season. So Saturday, even though the temperature was 35 out with the windchill at 25 with a very cold wind blowing upon us, Denali and I bravely stood outside ordering our ice cream. Thankfully, I was wearing my down coat and had my gloves and scarf. To keep D warm I brought along his ear muffs and a bib to keep him clean. After I purchased our toasty ice cream, Denali was very kind and lead me to a picnic table so I could feed him. At least this time, I did not have to worry about the ice cream melting. Have a great week everyone!

Best Friends

Denali and I made a quick stop at my cousins house to pick up our girl scout cookies. When we arrived at the door, we were greeted by their two English bulldogs, Jasmine and Sugar. Moments after Denali stepped into their house, the two dogs took Denali on a tour of their place. It was funny because every so often you’d hear pitter-patter of their paws along with a few looong slides on the hardwood floor, which eventually lead into booms when they hit the wall. Finally, when the furry ‘kids’ relaxed, the little puppy, Sugar, started to snuggle up to Denali and I though it was the cutest thing. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Bath Time

My son Denali has not had a bath since October.. I think? So, Saturday morning we visited the Dirty Paws Bath House in Maumee to spiffy him up. As everyone knows, Denali loves LOVES the water. In between gulps of water and shaking every 2 seconds, getting the surrounding area wet, along with a few people close by, I managed to wash my boy. Denali truly was having a blast while I was getting soaked washing him and trying to take photos of D to share with his wonderful fans. Have a fabulous week everyone!!

A Golden Smile

Do golden’s smile? My answer is YES! While I was patiently waiting for D to find the ‘perfect spot’ in my backyard, I noticed a rabbit and so did D. After a quick race to the nearest bush with Mr Rabbit in the lead and D not too far back, he turned around and came running back to me with this huge smile. Denali, I LOVE YOU.. Have a great weekend everyone!

Billboard

Denali is feeling much better, we appreciate all your kind words and thoughts. They say in life, you never know if you don’t try. So, I purchased a billboard for a month that was located on Cahuenga E/O Broadlawn in West Hollywood with hopes for Denali to get on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Before the billboard went up, it was approved by lawyers. The billboard was installed last Tuesday, and Friday I was told the billboard needs to be removed ASAP due to copyright issues?? Denali is a 10 yr old golden retriever who is huggable and lovable. He has fans all over the world. I though the Ellen show would have fun with D showing off his talented yet professional doggie modeling skills, but apparently I was wrong.

Sick Puppy

Denali has been sick for the past few days. It’s scary how things happen, one minute they are as happy as they can be, and then the next moment something is wrong. I took Denali to the vet a few times and I was instructed to keep him calm. Since D and I are both vegetarians, the doctor suggested that I feed him cooked ground beef and rice to fill his belly. D was so happy while I was cooking the ground beef, he stood next to the stove with his nose high up in the air sniffing, knowing it all was for him. Denali has been doing better now and we appreciate all your kind thoughts. PS…D sends his love;)

Valentines Day

Denali is my one and only Valentine and he wants you all to be his Valentines. So tomorrow on the day of love, D wants you all to pucker up, BUTTERCUP as he sends out his love!
Happy Valentine’s Day to all…Love, Denali

Manners 101

Denali needs to work on his manners, especially when I visit the bank drive-thru. As soon as I pull up to the drive-thru slot, suddenly my vision becomes very blond and hairy. When I lower my window, Denali offers to assist me with the container. Finally after a brief struggle, I get my papers in the container and send it on its way. After the container disappears, Denali goes into a zone where his eyes are FIXED on the slot. Thankfully, I had my camera with me on Monday to take a photo and thankfully the bank teller had a very LARGE milk-bone waiting for him in the container. OMG!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Puppy Love

I thought it was time to give everyone a status update of Denali’s buddy, Remi, the ‘puppy’ Great Dane. In June, I shared the photo on the right, and Saturday morning with the help of Remi’s mum and pockets full of treats, I took the photo on the left. OMG Remi is HUGE! He currently weighs over 100 lbs and D is still at 74 lbs. On a few occasions when the boys have been playing outside, Remi has stepped over Denali and D had no clue (Too bad I did not have my camera on me). Remi is so tall, once when I was playing with him and he stood up while I was standing over him, I almost went for my first horseback/Great Dane ride!! I love those two boys and his brother, Bentley. Have a great week everyone!!
