Golden Retrievers & Fans

My boys are so smart and adorable. It just happened to be a little bit warm over the weekend, instead of turning on the air I had the fans on. I was going about doing my things and found the two boys napping in front of one of my fans.. Awww..Love them. Have a wonderful week everyone!!

The Answer

Well… It took only seconds to conduct our ‘Scientific Experiment.’ Surprisingly, Denali 1st went for the Big Mac, took the top bun off, then he inhaled the steak. If you look closely at Denali’s mouth, you will notice the bun and steak in his mouth. Okay… However, the second D lunged for the steak, Sir W broke free and devoured the rest of the Big Mac. So, the answer is possibly a draw since he ate the bun of the Big Mac and then went for the steak. Love them.. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!

Scientific Experiment

I thought it was time again to conduct a ‘Scientific Experiment,’ with Denali and Sir Wilbur as the assistant. If everyone remembers our last scientific experiment, Denali chose the McDonald’s Big Mac over his dog food. So, for this experiment, I once again am using a Big Mac and I am replacing his dog food with a Sirloin Steak… So… what do you think Denali chose?? I’ll tell you the answer on Thursday!

Best Buddies

Early Tuesday morning, I got out of bed and I almost tripped over someone. I turned on the light and this is what I found… The boys definitely have their moments with each other, but when I see them like this, it melts my heart. Have a great weekend everyone!

Boating on Lake Erie

Sunday afternoon the boys and I, along with some other family members, went out on our first boat ride of the year. We all got soaked, especially my father, as we flew across Lake Erie with the mist coming in. The boys and my dad had so much fun. This is one of the photos I took of them getting soaked…Hold on Sir Wilbur.. Have a great week everyone!!

Dogs Relaxing

Wednesday, the boys and I went on a short walk at one of their favorite parks along the river. When we returned to the Jeep, I gave the boys some water and helped D into the Jeep. After I got Denali in, I noticed that Sir Wilbur had plopped himself below Denali the and Jeep and was chilling. I thought it was so cute and they looked happy….maybe a little tired, but they were happy! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Memorial Day, Supporting our Troops

Since today is an important holiday for Americans and to all the troops that have served and continue to serve, Denali & Sir Wilbur have a special message for them… Have a wonderful and safe holiday and thank you for all that you do!

Ice Cream, Milk-Bone Sundaes for Dogs

The boys were accompanying me Wednesday afternoon and we just happened to be near their favorite ice cream parlor, Mr. Freeze, so I decided to stop. To make it easier for me, I talked the girl into putting the boys milk-bone sundae into a banana split container. However, when I presented the milk-bone sundae to the boys, Sir W lunged at it and got the entire thing in his mouth in one gulp. Denali, being respectful with his manners, was politely licking it like a normal doggie. I’m not sure if Sir Wilbur is familiar with a ‘brain freeze.’ OMG.. My head would be spinning. Well then, have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Canine Cancer Awareness, Andy’s Army

Over the weekend, the boys and I visited Andy’s Army booth, with the Golden Retriever Foundation during the Toledo Humane Society Bark in the Park event. Andy’s Army booth is a cancer awareness in memory of a rescued golden. Since Denali is fighting cancer, I thought this would be a good booth to visit and show our support. Andy Army’s booth is new and will be traveling to other events in Northwest Ohio to promote public awareness of canine cancer and to raise money for canine cancer research. This was the first event I have taken Sir W to with a ton of other dogs and surprisingly, he was well behaved and so was D. Along with the boys receiving tons of treats and pets, I had them pose next to Andy’s sign. Have a great week everyone!

Outtakes of the Dynamic Duo

Since the boys new greeting card, The Dynamic Duo, is so popular, I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the outtakes. It took roughly two weeks to get the photo I wanted and in between that there was a lot of sniffs and licks. Thankfully, they finally cooperated and I got the photo I wanted. This Dynamic Duo card is available at the retailers in Toledo, Ohio who sell his cards (The stores are listed on his website) and you can also purchase them on Denali’s website, http://www.denalithedog.com/cards.html. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
