Denali has lots of friends in the neighborhood. Every so often, I’ll get a knock on the front door and one of the neighbor kids wants to know if “Denali can come out and play.” Denali always has fun with the kids. From joining them in their kiddie pool to chasing each other, it’s always one adventure after the other. After they were outside for a bit I offered the little boy a popsicle. As I handed it to him, he asked for another one. When I asked who it was for, he said, “Its for Denali, he needs a treat too.”

Denali grew up with me in the beautiful hills of Pennsylvania. On weekends I would pack the Jeep, grab some food (including doggie treats) and off we’d go. While hiking, Denali would always find a swimming hole to relax in. We do not have swimming holes where we live now but we do have the Maumee River. Lately, it has been extremely hot out and I’m sure Denali has not been to happy about cooling off in my neighbors vinyl 8 gallon kiddy pool. So, over the weekend we went to the river. Denali and I had a blast and it brought back a lot of good old memories. Have a good day everyone and stay cool!

Denali is well loved by my parents and I. You can usually find my father walking Denali in the neighborhood or when Denali is spending time with my mother, he likes to play ‘doorbell’ and alert her of everyone walking past the front door. My father calls him, ‘buddy,’ and my mother calls him ‘pretty boy.’ My mother rang me in the afternoon and said she wanted some company from her ‘pretty boy.’ A few minutes later his ride appeared outside. I took off after him with my camera a took a few photos as he stuck his head out the window.. He’s such a pretty boy!!

Denali & I want to wish everyone a SAFE and HAPPY 4th of July. Also, don’t forget to bring proper ear protection for your dogs when watching the fireworks. Denali just loves his!!  :-)

I gave Denali a kiss goodby, grabbed my gear, and headed out the door. As I drove away from my home, I looked back at my house and in my bedroom window I saw DENALI looking out at me!! It about broke my heart but made me smile. Denali is attached at my hip–I’m not sure if it’s a golden thing or a dog thing. In our little home Denali never leaves me alone and follows me everywhere, it’s like I feel I’m being watched.

Its amazing how he opens doors with his nose just to join me. Somehow Denali has mastered the bathroom door and always feels the urge to join me. I mean, company is great, but not always needed. I love you Denali!

Denali loves everyone, especially my friends two little ladies. They chase, ride, feed and the little one even tried dressing him. Honestly, he was not too excited about being dressed after spending the afternoon in the studio with me. But, after driving their father nuts by destroying the family room which my friend just cleaned, I decided it was time that the girls Denali and I go outside. The girls then though it would be exciting to get Denali to bark. So while they were barking at him commanding him to speak.. Denali kept on staring at me!! It should be the other way around.. ya know.. dogs barking.. kids talking but, it’s all good!

Denali and I have been working on some new photos and he is already giving me some major model attitude problems. My goal was to test out a new costume but he refused to sit up and I had just run out of dog treats.  So, I propped his head up with some can’s I found in my pantry hoping to get a better perspective of the new outfit. He’s usually a really good boy but, today not so much!

Denali is a dog that loves all seasons of the Ohio weather. Today while I was out raking the endless leaves, Denali was at my side jumping into my huge piles of raked leaves. He was having a blast! He loves to run to the piles, stick his head in them then shake his head like mad!! Golden’s are so much FUN!!

One of Denali’s newest tricks is shoving two tennis balls in his mouth. Yes, this is odd, but if it makes him happy then I’m happy. So, I’m off to the store to purchase some newer balls. Hopefully, I can find some in red. 

Denali loves hanging out with friends and family. Today my cousin who is a nun in Rome, Italy stopped by during her summer trip.  She was a bit worried at first when Denali leaped with excitement and charged toward her. My father and I took off after him and tried our best to hold him while my cousin gained her composure.  

After Denali had some ‘alone time,’ she suggested to include him in a photo.  It took a few tries but we somehow managed to get one.  Buona Giornata!
