Polar Vortex

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 8:07 am

Since we are experiencing 2014 North America’s cold wave, better known as the polar vortex, Denali & Sir W want to make sure everyone stays warm. To help illustrate, they offered to bundle themselves up so I could take a photo of them for their blog. They are the best… Stay warm and have a fabulous week everyone!

Golden Retrievers and Newborns

Denali & Sir W surprised me the other day. Everyone knows how much Sir W loves Baby G and that Denali shows no interest in her.. Well, I put Baby G in her crib so I could shower and as usual, Sir W was close by. After I came out of the shower this is how I found the boys. Wow.. I was so shocked, they all looked so cute together. Love them. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Dog Portrait

Since we still have snow on the ground, my goal this past weekend was to take a nice portrait of the boys in it. Well, of the two boys the only one who listened was Sir W. Shocking.. Yes! Denali was running around, rolling in the snow while Sir W was sitting like a good boy.. Love them. Have a fabulous week everyone!

Dogs and Peanut Butter

I have been complaining to my husband for the past few weeks that the boys need to go on a diet. My husband says I am crazy and the boys look good. So the other day he went grocery shopping for me and I had peanut butter on the list for them. Well, when I unpacked the groceries, I notice he purchased the ‘reduced fat’ jar. Later that evening I asked him why he purchased the ‘reduced fat’ jar and he said cause I’m always complaining about the boys’ weight so he thought this might help. Thanks, honey. I love my boys. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!

Golden Retrievers love attention

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 6:48 am

Ever wake up in the morning, go on your computer and before you know it, two of your furry family members are trying to get your attention? Sunday morning the boys and I were up early while my husband and daughter slept in. So I thought it would be a good time to get caught up on some computer work. Well, I was able to prepare my coffee and as soon as I sat, D started to nudge me and moments later Sir W appeared under the table doing the same.. Love them.. Have a fabulous week everyone!!!

Goldens and Newborn

I can’t believe it will be almost a month since Denali and Sir Wilbur welcomed Baby G into our lives. It has been an interesting adventure and the boys are doing well. Whenever she cries, Sir W is always very concerned and walks up to her while Denali lays on the ground snoozing. One of my favorite gifts we received for our daughter is this little shirt she is wearing and it says, “My siblings are Golden Retrievers.” After I got Baby G into the shirt, I had her pose next to her best buddy Sir W for a photo. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Goldens and Snow

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 2:09 pm

My boys have been in heaven for the past few days because it has been snowing like crazy in Ohio. Every time I take the boys out, I try to think of different things to do with them. On this occasion I thought it would be fun to make snow balls and toss them. Denali loved it and Sir W, being Sir Wilbur, was very focused on the snowball. Hopefully one of these days I’ll get a photograph of Sir W smiling. Have a great week everyone and enjoy the snow!

Golden Retrievers and Snow

New Year’s Day we woke up to some fabulous fresh snow and the boys were overjoyed but my husband was not. As usual minutes after leaping into the snow, Denali started to perfect his snow angels. Meanwhile, Sir W went nose first into the snow, eating it and running in circles while my husband held on to his leash. Well, at least two out of my three boys enjoyed themselves! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
