New Years Eve

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 7:23 am

With this year coming to an end, Denali and I want to thank all of his 23,000 fans all around the world and the many more to come. It’s exciting to see how fast his page has grown over the year. Most of all, I want to thank my furry son for putting up with his momma..aka me! Denali is the best model a photographer could ask for and I love the fact that he’ll pose for me in anything I put him into. We love you all and look forward to bringing everyone along for Denali’s adventures in the new year!

Helping Hands

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 7:18 am

I love D more then anything, but sometimes he does not always need to get so involved with my things. Sunday morning while I was opening presents at my parents home, Denali decided to interrupt me. I’m not sure if he wanted to help or if he was waiting for his morning masseuse appointment. Thankfully once again close by was my camera, so I took a photo of my curious son to share with everyone. Have a great week everyone!!

Dog Christmas

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 7:33 am

This is an outtake from this year’s family & friends Denali The Dog greeting card. Denali is a wonderful model, but sometimes his wardrobe gives me more problems than he does. On this occasion, the little hat I had on his head refused to stay on and Denali, being the fabulous model that he is, decided to take one of his afternoon siestas in return… Hey.. I don’t blame him. Most of all, Denali and I want to wish you all a very safe and Happy Ho Ho or Ruff…Ruff as Denali would say!!!

Kilroy was here

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 7:39 am

Denali was here. D, my son, was outside patiently waiting for me to open the storm door. When I looked at the door I noticed his little nose and eyes staring at me through the screen. Suddenly, the old WWII classic Kilroy was here, doodle came to mind. Too bad Denali did not have his paws on the door next to his face, I bet he would have looked even cuter. Have a great week everyone!!

Gingerbread Houses for Dogs

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 9:37 am

I have never worked on a gingerbread house, so I went to the store and purchased a kit for my mum and I. My mom at first was a bit skeptical telling me, “I’m not an artist.” I told her not to worry about it. It was funny because as soon as I took the pieces out of the box, Denali suddenly arrived at the corner of the table and started to nudge my mom’s arm. She kept on telling me, “He wants a piece”. I responded, “No he doesn’t.” When we finally had the house somewhat done, my mum started working on the gingerbread men and I moved away to grab my camera. When I got my camera I noticed D had moved closer and was trying to get some candy. Denali, you amaze me! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Holiday Photos

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 9:04 am

Around the holidays, I take photos of family and friends for their holiday greetings. Last week while my cousin and her husband were checking out their photos on my computer, Denali and I were hanging out with their kids in my little studio. The kids were having a blast trying on Denali’s clothes and rearranging my studio as D and I watched them in awe. I then announced to the kids, with hopes of saving my studio, “It’s now time to dress Denali!”. The kids cheered with excitement, ran over to Denali, and D turned and looked at me with a smile. I love you Denali.. Have a great week everyone!!

Christmas Tree Farms

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 7:22 am

Denali has never visited a tree farm before and with the holidays just around the corner, I thought now would be the best time. Tuesday, D and I stumbled upon a placed called Salsberrys Farms in Delta, Ohio. As soon as I parked the Jeep into the fresh wet, snowy mud, Denali leaped out with precise Olympic form. He then took off running top speed through the rows and rows of snow covered trees. I yelled to Denali ,who was at the opposite end of the field, “You’re being anti-social!”. Denali then came running back and we were greeted by Wilford, the man who runs the farm. Wilford was really cool with D exploring and we were both laughing at Denali watching him run in circles around the trees. I then asked Wilford if he would pose next to some of his trees with Denali for a photo and he chuckled. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Occupy

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 7:28 am

Over the weekend Denali and I were hanging out at my parents house. My mum and I were sitting at the kitchen table chatting and D was laying on the floor in the family room. While we were chatting, I heard D moving around. I turned my head and saw D jump onto their couch and relax in my dads favorite chair. I started to laugh and told my mum to check him out. She looked over, smiled, and said, “I hope your father does not see that or he’s going be in trouble.” Momma loves you Denali, have a great week everyone!

Dogs & Apples

Filed under: Day in the life — denalithedog @ 7:23 am

Apparently, my son Denali likes apples. Yesterday afternoon I was sitting on my couch taking a break eating an apple. To my surprise, D came over to me and rested his head on my lap staring directly, or you could say staring deeply, into my eyes sighing VERY LOUDLY as I was chomping on my scrumptious apple. “What do you want D?” I said. He continued to sigh even louder and his stare intensified.. “Fine, you can have it” I told him, as I brought my apple to him. It’s truly amazing how you’re dogs control you. Have a great weekend everyone!!
