The Making Of Denali The Dog Cards Can Be Tedious
This is the real deal, folks.
Many shop owners tell me customers wonder if a dog really allows a photographer to take pictures in various states of dress.
He does - after many years of training.
“But Photoshop must be involved to paint hair on him?”
“Those glasses can’t be really on his head.”
Oh, it’s all real. And it takes an extremely long time to complete one photo shoot.
Denali is very patient, but that is a trait he’s gained after extensive training and patience on his part. The above photo is an outtake from a recent shoot showing how I can adjust his head level and he will stay still for a short period.
Since this is a one-person operation I must get back to the camera quickly before he loses concentration. Some days that happens and other I struggle. As you can see, in the end, we’ve accomplished our goal a few times.
